I'm Andy, 30 years old from Muenster, Germany. I would like to show you some of my leather work. I hope writing in english is okay. I'm able to understand and speak hebrew, but my written hebrew is very bad but. I study hard to improve my skills!
Thank you that I can be here!
Out of necessity and an absolute aversion to Kydex, I started some years ago making my own leather sheaths. Out of necessity means that the people who offer custom leather sheaths for sale, have either totally over inflated prices, or the sheaths are so beautiful that I hardly dare to use them.
Now, I want to show you my favorite knife, the GEK-EDC from Eickhorn with a homemade leathersheath i've made. The company Eickhorn is not known to deliver very sharp knives, a friend has sharpen the knife and rounded the scales a bit, because the scales were very angular. I am able to process leather, but not to sharpen knives
Some Specs: Boehler K110 tool steel (HRC 59). Brown G10 handle. Hole for security strap. Hammer on end of handle. Overall length 23 cm. Blade length 11,5 cm. Blade thickness 5 mm. Weight 196 g.
